I really understand "buying a car in boxes". Our 37 Beverly sedan was in boxes. But the correct Autolite generator was long gone and a 3 brush replacement was in its place. The bumper jack along with the lug wrench was gone. Then the dash instrument light light rheostat switch was missing but the bracket it bolts too was cut off probably modified for something.... I spent 10 years looking for a correct GCO4804-A generator. Seems every time I was just a day late. Finally found one in the Check Republic. Sometimes the search quest for a missing treasure part is worthy of the chase.

It's amazing the stuff they managed to box up and keep with my car, and the things that are just flat out gone.

On your Auburn, the RH motor is about three times as expensive as the LH.
That is because Ford used that motor on the LH (bowl up) . Alot of Auburn RH motors went into 35-36 Fords. All working chrome plated motors are a bit spendy.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Thanks!
As usual, that's something that is not in my boxes of parts.

I've seen them advertised for around $475-500 in excellent or restored condition. $300 ish for decent unrestored in working order. Apparently many are past rebuildable and not worthwhile. 35-36 Ford cabriolet had same heart shape but different length stem to wiper arm.

What is a good price for a pair of chrome wiper motors for a 35 Cabriolet?
Poor condition, good condition, excellent condition?
