Just heard back from the museum, which I sent an email to asking about engine and chassis numbers. They report J-233, chassis 2264, which they say was a Rollston towncar when new. According to the museum, the car was rebodied in the era. However, on page 266 of Roe's book (middle photo) it was a custom made roadster. J-233 2264 is mentioned in passing a few times in the ACD NL as passing through Troka's hands as a Rollston Towncar, and as having been make into a "hot rod" sometime before 1975. Another mystery solved.

Indeed. I found some higher resolution versions of these photos on the 'net and where the chassis number should be on the firewall it looks blank, although hard to be sure. If it is a replica firewall, I begin to wonder if it is a fabricated car wrapped around an original engine. Time will tell.

The museum is owned by a Mr. Devoe Moore and I found no mention of either him or the Tallahassee Auto Museum in the ACD newsletter. Still digging though.
