Randy/Peter,

the chassis number should be at the very front frame horn where the spring attaches. this is where the number was for my 1930 8-125 and we also certified a few 1930 models with the numbers there also.

Randy, I was correct the first time...the car was bought from someone in New York rather than Montana.

La Habra is the next city east of me. I'm located in Whittier Ca. I can get a closer look at it if that will help determine what you have. I will need to know where to look for the numbers because I'm a Cord owner but love to investigate too.

I thought I'd add a photo of the leather and leatherette I've rescued from the car...the leather was taken from the door panels, I made sure I took a sample from behind the door as well. I'm hoping this has seen less direct sunlight so hopefully hasn't faded as much.

The two tone green leatherette or vinyl was taken from behind the front seat and under where the convertible top folds down.

So as the car was a green car, the leather looks like it was green too...was this standard? I only ask as I've only seen brown on a green car.

Cheers

Peter

saw that you're in La Habra - if you'd like, you can come out to Temecula and see my 8-95 for comparison. I think I can show you where all the cert #'s are.
