We are happy to announce that this year’s meet will be held in beautiful Cambria (https://visitcambriaca.com/) starting Thursday October 5th thru Sunday morning October 8th.
We’ll start Bonus Thursday morning with an all-day driving tour thru Central California’s scenic coastal hills. We’ll visit Old Town Templeton’s Historical Museum followed by lunch on your own at one of the many nearby restaurants. After lunch we’ll tour thru Paso Robles wine country, stopping at the Pasolivo Olive Orchard for a guided close-up look at olive oil production and an excellent tasting experience.
Friday the Meet will officially start, with a morning visit to Hearst Castle followed by a drive up the CA coast on Hwy 1 for lunch at Ragged Point. Then returning to Cambria that afternoon with stops at the historic Piedras Blancas Lighthouse and the Shoreline Elephant Seal Colony.
The technical forum will be Friday evening, with swap meet, judging and car show Saturday, followed by the banquet Saturday night, and hasta-la-vista Sunday morning.
We will be staying at the Cambria Pines Lodge. For reservations, call 805-927-4200 and mention our group “Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Club” to get the group rate. (The reservations center is somewhat confusingly called Moonstone Hotels Reservations.)
