TEXAS MEET 2007 - APRIL 19-22 - UPDATED MORE PHOTOS!

Our hosts were Tom & Evelyn Timmins of Friendswood, TX. The hotel was the South Shore Resort in Clearlake, Texas. The early bird arrivals on Thursday afternoon toured the Armand Bayou and we actually saw quite a few alligators. That night we tried our luck at the Gulf Greyhound Track. We were all winners with 50-cent hotdogs, dollar margueritas, and all-you-can-eat crawfish. Look at the two signs in the infield closely! Friday morning we visited the Lone Star Flight Museum. Club Member Dee Howard is a big contributor to the museum. Lunch was in Galveston. We strolled through the stores in the Strand. That night after a great BBQ dinner we visited the Texas Opry. Saturday morning we left our cars at the Timmons house. Notice Brad Waken's Packard on the trailer. (Long Story.) We toured the 700-car O'Quinn collection. No cameras except for the group photos. A wonder Mexican lunch was served back in Tom's car barn. Then it was off to a Hindu Temple where they were more fascinated with our cars than we were with their temple! Late that afternoon we visited a mad scientist who cross-breeds orchids. Our farewell dinner was at Cafe Capri along the north shore of Clear Lake! Our thanks to Tom and Evelyn for all of the their hard work. What a great weekend!
