Annual Labor Day ACD Meet Photo's

I would like to be able to save individual pictures and print them as nededed. If the proposed DVD can be played as a disk in the computer and the ability to print indivudual pictures from that disk are there, then I would be interested. If not, posting them on the website like we use to do is still more than OK with me. I still want to see the photo's archived on our website so that we can find them when needed. When Running a search in the Picture Gallery I could only find 2003 and 2006 "Entering the Park" photo's. Does anyone know which years were actually posted on our site? If there were others we need to reload them. The "Entering the Park" photo's are Great for keeping track of changes made to the cars over the years.

Josh, Yes. It is a good idea! Computers are not my friend ; I probably was not doing it correctly because clicking directly from picture to picture didn't work .

Is it possible to pick the pictures that you want off of the present system and send them to Wal-Mart or Kodak to have prints made ?

The fewer the digits, a better bargain it seems. That's why things are priced at $9.99 instead of $10.00.

(My mom has been in retail for 25 years. lol)

Can you do it for 9 bucks?

The proposed project is very different from what you folks are already doing, which all appreciate.

1. The DVD will incorporate software for easy movement back and forth thru the 200-300 photos.

2. The DVD will be playable in the living room or home theatre. Most of our members do not yet have their computer hooked into a larger system, and most families don't want to crowd around the PC or Mac to watch.

3. The DVD might incorporate the year, make and model of the cars, plus maybe background music to make the experience more pleasant.

I'd like to hear from others regarding the saleability of such a DVD for ten bucks or so.

I'll be adding my 2004 Labor Day pics to my smugmug account at a later date (when I find the CD :rolleyes: ) I'm not sure if my 2005 ones our up, but I know Bill has them up on this site.

Feel free on my smugmug account to leave comments on the cars, meaning leave years and model comments.

I think we started posting these in 2004. Try a SEARCH on AUBURN and limit the search to the Picture Gallery.

I am very happy that someone wants to look at the pictures.

I have set this forum to NEVER delete anthing in the picture gallery. But this was after it deleted 2003 and some 2004 stuff. The photos are safe, I just have to create more links to them in some new messages.

The Club's Board of Diectors is currently considering offering a DVD of the official Auburn photos for the coming year (2007). This would be playable thru your TV, you could choose to see only one marque, FWD and REV, pause, etc. Lots of advantages over an online collection. Price would be $10 or so. What is the interest?

And, if this works, maybe past years too.

Thanks for your Help. I did find this past years photo's when the link was 1st posted back in September. What about 2005 and earlier... Are those links still available / active? If so how far back can we go? Does this site archive these photo's. If not does anyone know where I can view on line the eralier photo's of the cars enterring Park on Saturday morning. Thanks again for your help.

I know we all look forward to recieving our Fall ACD Meet issue with the story's and photo's from the Labor Day Show. How come the Club does not post all of the Photo's from the Car Show entrys on the web also, along with all of the other Great Photo's that show up in that issue. It is the biggest ACD event of the year. They would be in color, better quality and easy to look back on thoughout the year(s). I know some years I have found a link to the Cars entering the park on another site. We should have them automatically displayed on our website. What does anyone else think.
