I set my torque wrench to break at 90 pounds. I run them up in a couple of stages. The bolts have a little lubrication on them. Drive the car 50 or so miles and then check them again.

Replied by Jonathan Richards on topic Torque Spec. / Cord 812 Road Wheel Lugs
Hello, Mac,
I do not know what torque specification is utilized by present day Cord
Model 812 owners on their road wheel lug bolts , but from an historic view point I quote below from the two volume loose leaf notebook transcription
and reprint of the " 810 and 812 Engineering Changes ". At Page 30 there is an entry under Section E - Running Gear dated 6-7-1937 as follows:
" On May 27 , we started re-tightening all wheel bolts to approximately
270 lbs. on a hydrogauge just as they leave the factory.
The hydrogauge is not being used on all cars, but has been used to
set up the standard of tightening. ( Rec. fr. F. Hiday, 5/28/37 ) "
I am sure some of the knowledgeable present owners of Model 812
Cords will advise you further based on their real world experience.

37 Cord Wheel Torque Value was created by Mac
Does anyone use a torque value when tightening wheel lug nuts on 37 Cord. If so what torque do you use on these.
