Mike, wish I would have known that stop leak trick before I rebuilt my engine... that would have kept the oil from leaking out the tailpipe!

do it the african way : if you are in the middle of no where, go to the next place where you can find eggs put one in your radiator and run the engine until the eggs are drawn to the leak, as the water heatens up it will cure at the leak from inside, let the engine cool and top up with water as soon as you can. Note this is only a temporarly fix and should be corrected as soon as possible ( in Africa that will never happen ) allthough i saw this personaly in Africa, i would neither recommend to do so, nor can garantie that it'l work or is removable afterwards. All i can say is, it safed us then, it's inviromentaly friendley and easy accesible anywhere. Don't use one strout's egg or similar !! <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

The more i know, the more i realize that i don't know enough.

I used radiator stop leak, it stopped the leak, but slowed the flow and leaked past the water pump bearing seal and the pump main bearing seized. The coolant is a lube for the pump main bearing, the sealer is silica, one of the guys claimed household black pepper will seal the leaky.

Stop Leak was created by mikespeed35
I was in the local NAPA store and they told me about a incident that happened in another store. A guy came in and ask for some Stop Leak. The counter man ask him what brand he wanted and he didn't now so he suggested Bars Leak with all the pellets works real well. The guy bought the Bar Leak and went right out in the parking lot and put it in "the crankcase" They said the motor ran for about 3 minutes and then didn't!!
CORDially Mike
