That will have to work. It was his only position in the automotive world. He moved to Fairmont, WV, and had a long career designing bottles at Libby-Owens-Ford.

I would be interested to know if any Eckhart descendants are active in the Club.

Hi Chris,

Well, I have owned a couple of Willys (both '52 Jeep CJ3A's actually), I have been to Toledo, and I have seen a few Duesenbergs.

Close enough? :-)

My great-grandfather was employed as a pattern maker at Willys in Toledo in the late 1920s. If someone can connect that by Six Degrees of Separation to Fred and Augie, it would make my day. :D haha

I have learned on this forum that Bill Hummel is E.L. Cords Grandson, and I think that is SO cool! :D

I hope that I am not prying too much if I ask who else here is related to Mr. Cord, or the Duesenbergs? <!-- s:?: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_question.gif" alt=":?:" title="Question" /><!-- s:?: -->

Thanks, Joel
