I would like to see a Preservation entry win Best of Show. The make wouldn't be as important as the message...

The Bentley certainly has the credentials and is wonderful in every way. It seems this little contest has somewhat mismatched contenders.
Would be fair to categorize and judge the cars in there styles, 3 streamlined,
Delahaye Cabriolet,
Cord 812SC Coupe,
and Bugatti against each other.
2-classics,
Packard de Ville,
Cadillac Sedan
1-race car
Bentley LeMans
2-Itialian style racers
Ferrari Farina, Abarth Berlinetta
1-league of it?s own,
Big D Dual Phaeton who would win in any arena.
With the worlds attention, a win by an ACD would be fantastic, sure the 812 is a mid priced car in a field of stunning bodywork.
Being that the contest is a peoples award and the timeless beauty of the mid-priced open Cord, the Amelia Earhart movie release, and the colorful history of another Cabriolet, could this be the time?
Is there is a possibility a Cord can drive over the ramp with a ribbon this year?
But it is the peoples choice or will the ?_ _ _ _ _? carry home the Trophy.

but when The Beach is celebrating the Bentley marque and the historic and
venerable 1928 Bentley 4 1/2 Litre Vanden Plas LeMans Team Car in BRG
is presented as one of the choices, I have to desert the Cord/Duesenberg
choices and give Bentley the nod. I'd love to know the credentials of this
particular example. It could be the unit that carried racing #4 in the 1928
running of the LeMans 24 Hours Race. The fourpence-ha'penny Bentleys
were produced from 1928 through 1931 and total production, including both standard and blown , was 733 units. Best Regards , Richards in Iowa.
