I just realized that not all people looking at this web site are members of the ACD Club and would have Gail's phone numbers from the Directory. If you are interested in the car his shop phone number is 707-569-9511, home is 707-569-9451.

I think the catalog entries were on my old computer. It was a black 1935 coupe, sold by RM.

I don't know where they would put internal pipes on a 35-36 supercharged Auburn. There is simply no room on the left side of the engine bay with fuel pump, steering gear, tach. drive, brake master cyl., vacuum lines for two speed rear, supercharger, brake linkage, clutch linkage, etc.
CORDially Mike

Gail Shaw's Cord was the one that supposedly came from E.L. Cord's stable. It also has grills in the front of the hood.

Was this really available from the factory? Or is it auction catalog BS?

I could see that working on the cord, but I'm not sure how you could fit it on the Auburn. Did you actually see the engine on the Auburn?

It seems to me that one of the Cords in E.L.s stable over the years was blown but without the external exhaust. If I remember the story correctly, a family member pulled a fast one.

Please correct me if I'm wrong Josh.

Is that factory-correct, too? Makes the second Custom I've heard of without the bustle trunk, and I don't know if the first was original or not.

Gail Shaw has a Custom Cord without the outside pipes. It has the flat back Westchester trunk, no bustle trunk. I understand it is for sale.
