No Google results for them, either.

Hi,

It reads 'Smith and Rich'. As a side note, the Professional Car Society of America will be holding their national reunion in Flint, Michigan, in August. The dates are August 10-15 which is also corresponds with the 'Back to the Bricks Cruise and Car Show'. I have been told by the Flint Convention and Visitors Bureau that they are expecting about 150 hearses and ambulances in attendance. Should prove to be interesting. By the looks of the photo, it looks like it was taken back in the '30's. I suspect the car is long gone but who knows it may still be out there.

CORDially,

Al Hatch

What an interesting car. I've never seen an Auburn "procar" outside of the 1935-36 models.

The window plaque says it belongs to "Smith and High," I think. I Googled every imaginable combination of that phrase and "funeral home," "mortuary," etc. and came up with nothing. The firm must be long-gone.

I have never seen a photo of an 8-98 or / 8-100 professional car before. This one looks very nicely done.

That is an interesting website. Thanks for posting it. The Auburn is an eight cylinder model.
Best regards,

I found this sight to night and just wanted to pass it along. If you go to www.hearse.com/cenowa/pages/index.html and you go about 30 photos over there looks to be a 1930 Auburn hearse and looks to be a v12 anyone know if it is or not??
