Both of my current AMX's retain their original vacuum wipers. I rarely drive them in the rain so I'm not too concerned about changing to electric wipers, which were optional in 1969. If we take the car on a trip I just use Rain-X before we leave.

Yep.... my 65 AMC Classic Wagon has vac wipers. I could replace them with electric but like the nostalgia of wathcing them slow down going up hill.

As I recall AMC used this technology through about 1972.

Just curious. What was the last American production automobile to use vacuum wipers?
