J-498x/2533 was at Auburn last year, and also at the Newport Hillclimb last fall briefly, parked in the spectator's lot. It's very nice to see them on the road.

I agree, that Beverly is wonderful. I believe it was in Auburn for the Reunion a couple of years ago.

Randy must know that answer.

I love the patina on J-498x/2533 Murphy Beverly. That is the way they looked back in the 1950's when they were drivers !!!

Who had J-427 on the tour? The driver's name was missing.

(Or maybe it was Paul Whiteman's ghost!!!)

Compliments to Josh Malks for including the extensive coverage of Duesenbergs in this issue, in the form of the excellent "Duesenberg Tour 2007" article and photos by Sam Mann. Its been quite some time since Duesenbergs have received any real attention like this in the Newsletter and I sure hope this is the beginning of more of the same.

It was also a thrill to see the photo of the Mann's J-515 on the road, a car with which I have some brief association (my avatar for this forum is me seated in J-515 shortly after it's first restoration by Hal Orchard in California).

I can only imagine what a sight it must have been to see (and hear) 25 Model J's coming at you on the highway....wow !! Wonder how many exhaust cutouts were opened?
