Replied by mark tyra on topic Yes, I haved used them in three of my Old Cars. Good Results
I have installed the Pertronix brand electronic replacements for the points and condensor in three of my Old Cars... '60 Caddy Convertible, '71 Vette and My Glenn Pray Speedster. The biggest improvement was in the engine idle, all three are much - much smoother and they perform just fine. Everything you need is in the box and the kits sell for less than $100. They are well worth it.

Has anyone had experience with the new solid state ignition that can be fit into an existing distributor? I talked to a mechanic that said it creates a stronger spark and helps the car run more efficiently.
