Hi! On the back of my Cord Phaeton there is a licence plate holder that proclaims, " My Other Car Is A Rolls-Royce". It is very immodest of me to say that it is true. Since I was given the holder about 30 years ago by my daughter, I have added 4 more RRs to the everyday driver collection. Sorry, I'm just so happy about being in the Pebble Beach Concours with my Cord!I'll come back to earth when the Cord decides that driving it past Lake Michigan is far enough. I quit. Wsh me luck. Ric.

For me in the summer it's my 1966 Cobra S/C 427 Replica, or my 1971 Formula 455 Firebird, which I've owned since high school. For work or parts chasing I drive a very used 1969 Chevy C/10 pick-up which belonged to my late father, and is also the very vehicle I learned to drive in when I was 16,

"I've cut it twice and it's still too short."

I learned to drive in a 1978 Suburban, it didn't look anything like that one! Here is my beloved Jeep...

(Edit: why wont my Photobucket pics display on some boards here? I checked Preview and it looked fine.)

2007 CHEVY SUBURBAN

Since last August when I fried the transmission in my GMC Envoy (V8 version) hauling my Cord up to Auburn, I now drive a 2007 Suburban w/ 6 liter engine.

The little Missourii GMC dealer wouldn't fix the trans within a reasonable amount of time (I gave him 3 hours) and he didn't have any sober salesmen awake by 9am, so I went down the street to the Chevy dealer and bought the biggest baddest blackest suburban they had on the lot.

Now I feel like Darth Vader with the black Suburban, trailer, and Cord.

Purchased the diesel to pull the car hauler and love it. Gave the gas 98 Chevy truck to my son to drive around town. Now since he is away to college, guess what I am driving again back and forth to work.
