Shelli is more of a purist than I am, so I may decide to get her the Optima 6V and a disguise kit. That way the battery will fit better and not stick out like a sore thumb.

There are some great posts on this website about the different ways to make 6V autos start easier ... from 8V batteries, to two 6V in parallel, or even the Orpin switch for 12-volt starts and 6-volt operation.

Use the SEARCH function for 8 VOLT and you will see lots of articles going back 3 or 4 years.

This disguise is great for those who want a lot of CCA from a single battery but don't want to be reminded of Valentine's Day and sleeping on the couch ...

Hey, we read the newsletter. You're just trying to make up for giving her a hot dog and crawdads for an anniversary dinner!

I'll look for your name in the obituary's George. I have a pink slip she can bury you in.

Well George, she has been converted. She now appreciates old wheels so I think she will like the battery. The Red Truck was last Velentines Day present. The Blue one was for her birthday in December.

She is terribly spoiled! These batteries cost more than a lot of jewelry being advertised on TV right now.

Will let you know Friday how Thursday night went ...

Bill,
Let me know how well this goes over with her. If you need a place to stay for a few weeks after Feb. 14, let me know.
If it works, maybe I will try it on mothers day.
CORDially,
E L

Nothing says I LOVE YOU more than a big, red, Optima 6-volt battery!

No ACDer's wife should have to suffer slow starts or tricky battery jumps, so this Valentine's day, show her you care! Make sure she's safe on the road in your ACD automobile.

Big and Red, and doesn't suffer voltage drops during long periods of storage.
