When you are at the ACD Parade and standing there watching the cars roll by and wish sometimes that you had a tripod setup either for general photo taking or video... because you know that when you get to watch your video, there will be camera shake in it - Here's a tip and it only costs about $1.00 - You can pay me when you come to Auburn 2008 :D

Take a nut of somekind that will fit in the tripod hole on the bottom of your camera.

tie a string around it and screw it into your camera.

Hold the camera up to your eye and let the string hang down to your feet.

Place your foot on the string laying on the floor and get it tight.

Cut the string at that length.

Next tie some type of flat weight or washer on the other end of the string on the floor. (you will be standing on this washer to take a picture)

Cut off the ends of the left over thread and maybe burn them a little so they do not come unraveled.

Now you have a $1.00 stringpod that you can slip into your pocket and pull it out when you need it in Auburn.

A video of how to make it can be found at www.raamdev.com
