*gulps* *is thankful it wasn't a Duesenberg*
The price for the Rolls was due to it being sold on home territory, where Rollers are a religion. If the car had been sold in America it would be headed for Houston right now.

We were on as phone bidders for the Rolls, but the bidding started at our proposed high bid. Everyone was surprised that it went that high. We did get the Hispano Suiza town car, and possibly one more. I left before the bidding was over.

Great post. Minor damage!
Had owner of the Bugatti loaned his "brother" the 10HP 1904 veteran Rolls-Royce, (speeeding incident, pregnant woman passenger?) this horrible wreck would never happened.
The vintage car could not do 100 mph in a 40 mph zone, the tires do not have enough traction. <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

Thought the club members may be interested in these. The first should bring a cringe to your face - certainly did mine.
The second is about the Rolls that sold for a record price - certainly well out of my league!
