Weinberger Royale purchased from junkyard by Charles Chayne, GM (Buick?) Engineering Manager in 40s-50s. Donated it later to Henry Ford Museum,on display there now. Ford Museum also has a 50s donated Cord Phaeton from Mass. & a faded Duesey.

Resurrecting this as I am still searching for this photo. Again, the photo I am looking for is a shot of a Bugatti Royale and 2 J's on top of junk heaps next to each other in a junkyard. It was taken in the late 1930's.
I just found this related image of the Bugatti "Scrap Royale" (scroll down to mid-page) shortly after it was purchased from the junkyard for $350?!?!?!? I know all 3 cars survived, and I'm hoping this might jog someone's memory who can point me to the junkyard photo:
www.bugattipage.com/bper2.htm
Thanks,
Justin

Sorry Justin,
We only have the photo of the Yount Duesenberg on the junkyard scales. The photo you are referring to will probably show up as members read this thread.

Hi Bill,
Thank you for your response. I have scoured those threads, as well as the picture gallery topics but still can't find the photo I am referring to. It is a shot showing a scene in a junkyard, and clearly identifiable in the photo are 2 Duesys and the white Bugatti Royale. Am I missing it somewhere?
Thanks!

Hello All,
I seem to recall seeing a photo of the famous Bugatti Royale and J in a junkyard scene. I have tried to locate a print of it without luck. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? It would be much appreciated.
