Lincoln body per Roe (see p. 245, middle photograph). Wolff notes say Pierce-Arrow but I definitely agree with Roe now that I have that project matched up to a picture.

If this is engine J-226 then I believe the frame is 2161 (ex-J-138) and firewall is 2520 (ex-J-491X). This is from what I can take from the Wolff notes. Randy Ema believes the car's frame is shortened.

I've been informed that the project is missing, among other things:
> all gauges but tach and speedo
> front axle
> transmission
> torque tube
> rear axle
> at least 3 wheels
> usable Duesenberg "goodies" such as original headlights

Happy bidding, brave souls.

Look alot more like a Lincoln than a Peirce. I'm not an expert on lincolns, but from the pic's I have found on line, it looks like 35-36 lincoln headlights and 34 lincoln tail lights. ???

I'll have to double-check my notes tonight but I seem to recall that car having a Pierce-Arrow body, which would explain the odd coachwork.

For what it's worth, the hulk pictured, authentic or otherwise, is new to me (I'm sure it's not to Randy and some of the veteran West Coasters). Can't offer much more than that at the moment.

I'm always skeptical of eBay auctions with lousy pictures, no description and little feedback on the seller.

What car is this? It looks like an original cast aluminum Duesenberg firewall, but what is the body? Is it a modified Murphy conv coupe, or something else grafted on? There's another frame leaning against the wall next to it too.
