In the process of restoring one of these cars, where or who is the source for clamshell fenders and the 19" wire wheels for these cars? The transfomation of SJ528 was a huge improvement over what it was during the years Harry Schulzinger owned it. I realize that a number of cars had the 17" wheels because of a lack of available tires for the 19's. Sears-Roebuck as it was then called sold the 750x17 as a truck tire but truck or not, they kept a number of J's on the road with new rubber. On J396,the rear wheels were 20" from some sort of pre 1930 Cadillac and 750x20's were available. Why the front wheels were still 19"I don't know. Maybe Melvin ran out of Cadillac wheels.
