It's very, very nice indeed. Great color combination, and very well finished from the look of it. While I don't doubt that it might take a quarter-million dollars to duplicate it, I can't see it reaching that high a price - but who knows? I agree with bubbabill, a nice old straight-eight would have been more appropriate and almost certainly would have given it a more authentic exhaust note. Having said all that, I think that for $150-$160K it would be a fair acquisition.

Now let's see if anyone else (who actually has that kind of money to spend on another toy) thinks so!

Very well done. My only complaint is the instruments. Probably the easiest thing to copy and the went with hot rod gauges.

I too noticed the intake manifold showing through the hood screens. Nice touch.

I think what I would have done differently would have been to put in one of a number of straight eight engines available, and built fake cam covers for the head. Nice car.

Maybe photoshop software used to give special effects? It does look like the chrome on the radiator shell has been "enhanced".

But man what a car.

Someone would have known about this car by now if it were the real thing.

But ... I could be wrong.

Hi Bill
not sure what you mean. Are you saying that the photos look like they have been retouched to make the car look more authentic?

"Retouched" is the better word. I can't imagine someone making up a set of drawings/paintings that accurate and photograph-like to sell a car. However, the pictures do oddly combine parts that look like photographs and parts like paintings.

As always, caveat emptor...goes for all used cars, no matter how old and pretty.

what caught my attention was the visible polished intake manifold behind the hood screen. From a few feet away it really makes you think you are looking at the real deal.

Usually Duesenberg replicas aren't even close - but this one looks excellent.

cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Other-Ma ... 35a4fcba13

Anyone know anything about it?
