Also found this on the Bugatti...posting here as it is apparently the same previous owner as the Duesenberg.

As an aside, I've never met Wayne but I did have the privilege of directing a short auction segment for his show at Keels & Wheels Houston Classic Auction this year. Sadly Wayne didn't buy the car, and I'm sure our segment wound up on the cutting room floor. It was still lots of fun to work with his producer.

Here are some links to articles about the car. However, I find the assertion that the cars is worth 1.7 Million laughable. Another article states that Leno paid $180K which still seems high for an un-restored car (even a Duesenberg) that will cost several hundred thousand to restore properly.

Also, I find it highly unlikely that a man such as Leno would willfully cheat anyone. I have never heard even the slightest whisper that he has been anything but totally honorable in his classic car dealings.

Also, Randy looked great this year at Auburn after 70# weight loss( although he was drinking a milkshake when I asked about how much he had lost, he obviously had earned a little treat) , watching program mentioned above would make a great Jenny Craig comercial showing Randy slimming down during Duesy restoration time frame.

I beleive this is the Duesenberg that the family of the owner were suing Leno and the storage garage over, and it was owned possibly by the same Gentleman who owned the Bugatti "barn find" featured on Chasing Classic Cars, This is NOT reporting of facts, but conjecture and putting disparate info together on my part. Does anyone know if suit was filed as reported, or if the Bugatti was same owner(NYC department store owner)????????????

Randy Ema and Leno's Duesenberg on DIY was created by Greg Riley
Did anyone catch the DIY program, "Celebrity Rides" RE Ema's restoration of Leno's Duesneberg?
Unfortunately I found it late at night and was only able to watch the first hour.
I just looked at the episode guide, and it turns out it is being rebroadcast on October 16th. Rats! That is my wife's birthday and also the day of one of the most important business meetings of my career. Thank goodness for DVR.

Here is a link to the DIY page:

Well worth your time!
