About all I can add is how the handles come off. They both have a spring behind the bezel. you need to press in the bezel so the pin that keeps the handle connected to the actuator. Press out the pin. then slip off the handle and then remove the bezel and spring. Sorry can't help with the actual door panel removal but it appears well said above. If you can will you please take pics so others might learn something? I do enjoy looking at pics.

Bill, When Auburn built the Cord they used a rectangular door clip that had spurs on the corners. They must have inserted the clips in the doors, then pressed the panel in place and mashed them with a hammer which dug the spurs into the panel. These clips are obsolete, and being 80 years old may break when you pry off the panel. On a restoration the panel board needs to have holes using new clips to retain the panel.
Good luck.
George.

Hi, I need to remove the front driver side interior door panel to repair/unjam the window mechanism in my Westchester.
What surprises can I expect? Can I use regular panel removal pry tools? Is there anything in particular I should look out for or be careful with the lift mechanism?
Thanx in advance, Bill
