While you are at it I suggest, for safety, that you paint the inside of the housings white and install bright bulbs. I use 14/50 watt incandescent bulbs I get from Bob Drake, Grants Pass, Oregon.

Here are some pics. You can see there are 2 springs on each area. The rivets are brass too. Also note there is a top and bottom by the finger pointing to a drain hole.

Gary; If you use one spring per rivet ( 3 total ) they will work just
fine, and you'll reduce the risk of breaking the lens.

Tail Light Lense was created by 1748 S
In the tail light housing is a set of flat springs. They are held in the light body with rivets. Why are they doubled up on each corner? Do I really need to have 2 springs in the 3 different locations or can just one spring work fine? Thanks.
