Tom, I spoke with Egge today. They do list a chain and gear set but.. All they have is the chain. Its a Ramsey chain. I may buy the chain and see if it tightens up the slop I have now. I did look close at whats in my engine and both gears and the chain are the Whitney parts. Will continue the search for the gears. I think Stan has both gears but they are expensive. So is the chain they have but at least I recall they had the parts. Going to take another look in his catalog just to make sure.

I can't find my Egge catalog but I believe that there is a listing for the gears and chain in it.

Don't know how the smilies got in, there should be "8's" in their place!

Pioneer member Lyman Greenlee wrote a booklet in 1952 with maintenance, tune up, repair, and parts interchange tips. He was no slouch, after mastering Cords he moved on to a bevy of Bugattis, which eventually went back home across the pond. Listed among the Cord interchanges for the timing chain for the 810 engine (he must have meant unsupercharged) was Link Belt #433. For the 812 (supercharged ?) he listed Link Belt #451. A notation at the side said "same as Cadillac or LaSalle, '32-'35" .The LaSalle part is suspect because it had a straight 8 for at least some of the years listed.
if you buy the part about Cadillac (which was also a V8) being the same, Chilton's Flat Rate Manual of the period lists the timing chain part as #885764 for '34 and '35, and a different Part #1096966 for the '35 LaSalle (straight <!-- s8) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="8)" title="Cool" /><!-- s8) -->. The numbers are probably OEM GM ones.
Have you tried NAPA or J. C. Whitney? "One never knows do one"....Happy hunting!

Does anyone know where I can buy a crankshaft gear? I probably will need the cam gear and just might need the timing chain too. But still looking for these parts. I do know what I have now is Whitney gears and chain and they are supposed to be very hard to find. Honestly I have not found that brand.
Also wondering if any other chain can be made to fit by removing some links. Thanks for any help.
