This is my take on securing hubcaps.
JJ did not want tie wraps, so we used 0.032 locking wire.
Easy to fit, secure and nearly invisible.

You can also get Chrome plated ones. I've seen them on ebay for motorcycles.

Save Your Hub Caps.
With the cost of Cord hub caps today, many owners are using plastic ties
as a precaution. Unfortunately the white ties are prone to early failure by
exposure to sunlight.
A better idea; Use black ties with UV Protection and replace them once every season.
Dollar stores sell them but a better quality may be found in
a marine store.
