Just got off the phone with Electric Motor Service back east. I bought the last high torque starter case coils for $32.60..... I'm a happy camper now that I will have a better cranking starter. A member posted this information is my questions about the starter a few months ago. I still need the 3 bushings and a set of brushes. I probably will be having the starter rebuilt because I still have not figured a way to remove the nut on the internal shaft to reach the last bushing area. My favorite mom & pop starter generstor alternator shop has done work for me with never an issue in the past 40 years. Its always a good feeling helping an indenpendant shop stay in business and know they stand behind what they do. Thanks for the tip on the case windings too. Its help like this that makes this forum what it is.
