I don't know why I didn't list the part numbers for Bendix brakes. Here is what I have which was what I used about 10 years ago.

Brake cylinders: Carquest # 7117 & 7118

Spring for bottom of shoes hold the shoes together - H1150

Spring holds shoes to backing plate- H372

Return springs at top of shoes- H325

There is also a spring that holds the trailing brake shoe ( sometimes called the secondary shoe) away from the brake drum. I'll list it as soon as I find.

Master cylinder rebuild kit- Napa number on the box is 25. There was also the number 1238 on the box. I got mine from local Napa dealer who had it shipped in.

Tom I have received information from Dan DiTullio about the brakes but nothing from you yet. Thanks for trying to help me with information but if you can tell me what to look for when it comes from you. I will watch for it. I suspect it will be from Tom Georgeson but really do not know what the name is for email address.

Tom, I have not received any info from you as to the brakes. Do you know why the site was down yesterday and part of today?

I think that I sent you an email containing my list "Cord Resources for Restoration and Repair for 810-812 Cord". If you go to it and look at number 9 it lists the part numbers for the wheel cylinders and the springs for Bendix shoes. It doesn't have the part number for the spring that holds the secondary shoe in place. I'll look for part number as the box is here somewhere. If you need a kit for the master cylinder go to number 72 it has the Napa part number. If I didn't send the list let me know and I'll email it. If anyone else wants a copy of the list just ask. There are 82 items in it, includes torque setting and other info.

Not a problem. I'm nowhere near driving my car. I'm just getting all the little things in a row so its easy to put things together when the time comes.

We just moved and locating the boxes the parts came in may take me a while to find. Hope that isn't a problem? Will get to it this week end.

I have replaced Bendix brake springs in my car with ones I got from an auto parts store. I think I still have the boxes they came in. If you want I'll look for the boxes?

Replacement Brake Parts was created by 1748 S
Does anyone know if Bendix brake springs and parts are avaialable at any real auto parts stores like maybe Nappa? I recall way back in 1976 I found some springs broken when I restored my brake to working order. Now I found another spring broken so I feel its time to upgrade the springs. Thanks for any help.
