I have had a full flow oil filter on our Westchester for almost 10 years. I had Gail Shaw, who lives in Santa Rosa, CA, modify the engine block when I restored our Cord. He had a jig which allowed him to drill the necessary hole in the right place. I have put over 6,000 miles on our Cord since and had no problem. I change the oil at around 2,000 miles. On the road the oil pressure runs close to 60 pounds. I have info on how to do it which I believe I got from Lee Richardson some years ago.

I seem to remember posting that article. It was by Lee Richardson and it was a full flow filter.

In the past I saw a great article how to add an oil filter to our engines. What type of oil filters are these? Are they the once thru full flow or the bypass type that bleeds off a small amount of oil from the main oil gallery? I'm thinking I might do the bypass type filter but have not finalized this yet. Thanks for any help.
