Cowl Vents

Many years ago my cowl vents were welded shut!!! This means all the vents, the springs, banana clips and the edges of the cowl were removed. A piece of metal was welded in where the vents were wrinkling the cowl badly but I'm sure it stopped the rain leaks too. I need at least one spring and the banana clip that the handle rides on to hold open or closed the vent. If nobody has one to sell can I get a picture or a hand drawn tracing of the clip so I can make 2 of them. I'm sure I can find a spring if I knew its demensions. Thanks for any help.
