Hi,

I filled out the required paperwork for the State of Ohio to inquire as to the title history of 1509A. Their response is below.

File Attachment:

I have to believe that should they be served with a subpoena for this information, they would manage to retrieve it from their storehouse of boxes of paper records. Subpoenas make bureaucrats get busy. Unfortunately, I do not have subpoena authority.

Now I have to conclude that I will never know the pre-1950 history of 1509A. She's a waif who found a new home at age 13 with no knowledge of who she is or where she came from.

I am very sad this day. <!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt=":cry:" title="Crying or Very sad" /><!-- s:cry: -->

Hi,

I recently sent a letter to Cord 810/812 historian Ron Irwin asking if any information concerning my 1509A Westchester prior to August 31, 1950, was available.

Ron graciously replied, but the news is that there are no records as to who first bought the car, where it was bought, or any ownership at all prior to 8/31/1950.

Ron was able to confirm that she was renumbered to a 1937 at the factory.

What a shame. I'd sure like to know more about her. I shall initiate combat with photobucket and try to post his letter.
