Carb Air Filter?

I have a late 1937 Cord sedan. Its a beverly. So what air filter do I need for it to be correct? I understand we have a few choices when it comes to factory filters for the Carb. Some are slotted and some are not. Thanks for any help. My car never had a filter like this. What I have is seen in the Classic Cord by Dan Post. Mine is found on pages 82, 105 and 150. I think these are the 1936 type. On page 151 is what I feel I need.
