With brakes, two cylinders are better than one.

Hi,
I am intensely jealous of your engine testing stand! My test stand has four tires and looks amazingly like a Cord.

That is a really nice looking engine stand to test run an engine on. Glad to learn you are working on it too. Good luck and do a little each day. suddenly you will find nothing left to do.

After a long absence from these pages I'm re-appearing with some news of our Cord efforts here in Minnesota.
But... first I'd like to once again thank you all for the opportunities this wonderful forum facilitates. The auction of (part of) my dad's car stuff went off well back in October and we've spent the long winter months successfully organizing much of what remains. Reading these pages helped us proceed with confidence through that particular journey.
Eric Johnston is a new member of the ACD Club and this forum... EAJ564. He is a long term employee of our company (Professional Instruments Company) and is working with me to get the two Cords I own back on the road. Eric is a seasoned mechanic, Toolmaker, machinery builder, and "car guy". I've encouraged him to join this group knowing he will get the benefit of the collective experiences of everyone.
Just this morning we bolted a 1936 Cord engine my dad purchased off these pages from Al Hatch, to our engine running stand. Eric partially disassembled and inspected the engine over the last couple of months as we ready it for running. We hope to install it and a transmission into my 1936 810 sedan later this summer. I'll endeavor to keep you all apprised of our progress...
