Hello all,

I'm considering using the Pertronix 'Ignitor' product in my '37 Westchester. I've heard many good things (reliability, ease-of-use etc) and think it might be of benefit.

I'm totally at a loss as to coils. I know Pertronix make a 40,000 volt coil which claims to get the most out of the Ignitor unit, but it comes in two variations, 1.5ohm and 3.0ohm.

Which would be the more suitable? Is there a great difference betwixt the two, or are we delving into hair splitting territory?
