I'm replacing the upper and lower bearings in my outer u joints. Seems one race has a steel plug in the bottom of it and I'm wondering how to remoce that race. I tried to drive it out with a punch but its not moving. I suspect its sitting on a lip in the housing. Grinding it out or using a torch seems like the wrong way of doing this. Thaks for any help offered too.
