Does it surprise any of us that this ground braking Cord didn't get more PR from the factory & EL. It was going to make or brake the Auburn Motor Car Company. I would give anything to have heard his comment when the car hit Beverly Hills. I am digging here with my fellow ACDer's. I am so surprised that there is so little.

Hi Ethan,

I do not recall any other photos of my Grandfather next to an 810/812.

He was certainly not embarrassed by them! By the time they came out, he was more focused on aircraft and shipbuilding. He was always moving forward.

I have a lot of family movies, perhaps I can find a photo for you. I have him on horses, in planes, in pools, in restaurants, on the phone, on the golf course, and in Buicks, Cadillacs and Lincoln's. But next to an 810/812?

I just don't think so.

Is this it, we know he left as President before the introduction. So was he that ashamed of the new Cord. There are so many pictures of him around that I was surprised that I could not find a single photo of EL with a 810 or 812. We know that many pictures were taken when the Cord made it's maiden voyage to Ca. Why no photo's. Bill Hummel do you have any? Anybody, please help!
