Tim,
Thanks for the reply.I found out about needing a strong battery solving my starting/shifting problem.
I did all the electrical checks, I have a test box and the sequences.(this)Problem had to be in the selector switch.
As you can see in the picture, the shift pencil broke at it's weakest point.
I will be checking out the diaphram, cross shift switch seems ok, no cracks checks out on the bench .

The cross shift diaphram may be worn out, and might have an air leak that prevents movement over to the other side. The cross shift switch may have internal problems also.
There are several detailed electrical checks that Club members have provided over the years. You must have a strong battery; clutch held in with your "clutch stick"; disconnect the Startix; then you can electrically check the system.
Send me a fax number, and I can send all that electrical info to you.
CORDially, Tim.

Shifting fun 4....... was created by
Another day another puzzle.
Went for a testride after fun 3. Backed out of the shop, shift into 1, shift into 2 , CRUNCH!Shift into 3,4 CRUNCH!
Gearbox will only shift into first and reverse. All other gates (2,3,4) shift into either first or reverse.

Back to the testbox, what would your guess be?
