Replied by K Clark on topic under dash paint
I believe that most cars did not paint the back side of interior parts other than what overspray got there.
My 2 Cents

Inside Paint On Metal was created by 1748 S
My Cord is 1748 S so it was late in that year and my inside sheet metal has no paint on any of it. I'm refering to the metal under the crapet and under the dash. Was there any paint used on these cars or did I just get a car that was not painted because its time was near for the closeing of the plant. I have seen others paint with a red looking primer. When I was stripping the paint off the outside of the car many years ago I found the red primer under the Cadet Grey paint. I have the Beverly sedan with the blue broadcloth seats. The leather seat trim pipeing is grey too. Its not the Arm chair interior but it has the folding center arm rests front and back. Thanks for any help in this matter.
