I always thought 1936 but could be wrong.

I seem to remember an article somewhere discussing this car, and as I remember it was a 1938-39 Buick, heavily modified. Anyone else have an idea?

I can't help but wonder if the remodeled car's styling inspired the "Big Cow" Duesenberg or vice-versa.

Wow,

I think you are on to something Chris! It has been a while since I saw a pic of the "modified" Topper Buick. They did it no favors.

Hello,

I have found a picture of a so called "Cord Special", is it a Cord?
theselvedgeyard.files.wordpress . ... e37mov.jpg
the picture of that good looking speedster is taken from the 1937 Cary Grant movie "Topper"

you can see the complete movie online here: www.tcm.com/mediaroom/video/1024 ... iler-.html -for the complete movie you must enter the link "feature film" on the right side of the site.

Does this Speedster exist until today?

Cheers

Matt
