At one time, ray foster (member in texas) had several extra hoods. He may have one for sale. Worth an email or phone call to him.

D&D, which advertises in our newsletter, makes reproduction Cord fenders....... in real metal. I'm sure they can also make any reproduction Cord part in real metal if asked. I know they have bucks for Cord fenders as they are sometimes pictured in their ad. Mark Kennison is very talented in metal..... no need for plastic. Yes, I understand plastic is cheaper but reproduced metal parts, like from the factory, will increase the value of any car. Mark was very helpful in completing one of my projects. His work is excellent and worth the extra expense. Just look at the L-29 speedster in the museum.

You might also want to call Felix DeGuyter over at Glenn Pray's old place in Broken Arrow. He made the glass fenders for the front of my Cabriolet.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for supplying the name. Coincidentally, the Senior and Junior Misters Kaboos and I have recently had cordial discussions concerning the possible sale of my project Cord.

I reiterate that the glass fenders that I bought are first-quality.

Hi,

There is a gentleman (Dammit, I don't have a record of his name or address) in or near Grand Rapids, MI, who makes new fiberglass fenders. I bought a set of rears from him via EBay in 2008, and he delivered them to me to inspect before payment at the following Auburn reunion. I am VERY satisfied with the quality, and I was happy to pay him for the high quality work. These fenders are better than any of the 8 metal ones that I have, and they will be on the car at the "Year of the Unrestored Car" reunion.

I have seen glass front fenders on some Cords at Auburn, and I would not hesitate to put them on my re-builder Cord if I lacked front fenders. I believe the gentleman in GR makes them as well.

I don't know about any glass hoods.

Hope this helps,

--Tom

Look in Ebay under the title.1937 Cord. These is a seller offering what looks like a complete fiberglass car kit. Also someone on this forum a few weeks ago offered a set of front fenders too. I have seen other members offer hoods in the past year too.

Hello all,

I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction: are reproduction front fenders available? I'm also wondering if reproduction hoods are somewhere to be found.

Thank you kindly.
