There is an early and late style Startix. There are subtle differences externally. The early style has notches in the front which accept tangs fron the internal cross brace, also has external adjustable points.

I have several startix units. One is black wrinkle finish on the case and I'm told that it wont work on the Cord but it will on the Auburn. If there is a differance what it is. Thanks for any information on this.
