Spotlites

My 37 cord sedan appears to have come factory with a spotlite. Was this an option and if so what was the make of spotlites. My car had the lite removed and the hole on the outside of the pillar post braised up using an old wheatear penny. I can see it thru the still open hole in the cab but the date is not visible..
