I got my transmissiom lacing from Restoration Specialties in Winber, PA. Phone # 814-467-9842. They sell it by the foot. The thickness is all 3/16" and runs from 1/2" to 1" in width. They also have a lot of different screws , bolts, nut and other odds and ends.

The lacing you speak of is very common on antique cars and I have purchased it from "Bob's antique auto parts" or "Langs old car parts", both of which are popular Model T Ford supply houses. I have also seen this lacing over the counter in street rod shops. However I'm not sure if it is correct for the transmission covers on our cars.

Gents- I can't find hood lacing in any of the suppliers I have listed- seems they all sell stuff for "appliance" cars (1950-1995-ish)-not true classsic cars like the CORD!
Can anyone tell me if 3/4" width with a "barbell" cross section is correct, and if so where can I get a couple pieces each about 3' long?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Pete, somewhere under 2241H
