Hi,

There's a pair of covers listed on Ebay right now. I'm going out to the garage to see if 1509A has the slots. Since none of 1509A's history prior to 1950 is known, this may indicate if she is a late 810 or not.

Because it was early. Slots were added late in the 810 line. After that they had either covers, or defroster horns poking out.

The Cords I've looked at have all have slots in the top of the dash for the optional defroster vents. If no vents have been added they all had a small plate blocking the slots. My dash doesn't have the holes/slots in it.
Were the slots a factory item that should be there? I'm just curious why my 810 (1579A) doesn't have the slots. Jim
