Cord Cabriolet Color Scheme was created by Bill Hummel
I have heard of a number of different color schemes that are supposed to be correct for my Cabriolet.
I am gearing up for paint and interior work and I don't want to screw this up. My Cabriolet is black and has a tan cloth top. Can I put tan leather inside?
What color should the dash be? I am already painting my steering wheel, column and shifter black. Do the dashboard, quadrant and radio knobs also have to be black? Can they be tan?
Here is an example of a high-dollar Cabriolet with two-tone paint. Looks good in my opinion. But how CORRECT is it?
I am pretty sure the window cranks have to be the same color as the dash, but they aren't in this one. I think paint will come off pretty easily on a window crank, so I plan to powder coat mine.
