Hi Tom, the 3/4 view in my opinion looks close to terrible with the straight louvers across the front. The side view is more pleasing however there are too many louvers. I counted ten all up. It also appears to have hidden headlights.
Gordon Buehrig got there first with the prototypes in early 1935.
It would be interesting to see the actual date of the 1936 Paris car show.

Checking in Google the Paris Auto Show was held in October 1936 so I guess we can assume the 810 Cord was the inspiration for the Rolls as stated on the printed sheet.

I found a short film of the event. Check out the disappearing top ......................... what a GEM!

This 1936 picture is from the June 1976 edition of Car Classics.  It makes one wonder who really is the designer of this body style.  Car companies of the day regularly copied ideas from other companies.
