I have manometer fluid as well. I do not repair gauges.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Straight Eight Motors sells the fluid if it is the same as the King Seeley gas gauge stuff. You can buy it off their website.

Is there any documentation on how this gauge works?

Bob's Speedomster does not do mechanical water temp gauges. They sent them to the "Temp Guy" in Vermont.

Pat,
I recently had one repaired by Bob's Speedometer in Howell, MI.
Nice job and quick turn around.

That’s too bad. Over the years he probably rebuilt 3 or 4 temp. gauges for me. As you mentioned, many of the old restoration services are gone.

He retired in 2022 and is definitely not doing any gauges.

Cord temp gauge was created by Pat Leahy
Can anyone tell me who repairs 810-12 Cord temp gauges? Is
there anyone that sells the red liquid? (Red ether)
I have researched methods to take a modern mechanical temp gauge and freeze the bulb and part of the tubing and solder this to the original gauge bulb, but I don't think it is red. Also how you know how much to use?  Bob's Speedometer in Howell Michigan sent them out to a fellow who has  now retired. Seems so many people have quit the parts and parts rebuild business making harder for us to own old cars.
