Gary, the engineering changes are as recorded. They never changed after production was shut down.
You are lucky because your serial number is mentioned twice. On page 29 it is in with a group of cars that had the 43:10 axle ratio and the dates mentioned were from 1/8/37 to 1/16/37. From that you can telll that you car was built between those 2 dates. On page 31 your serial no. is mentioned again with respect to an adapter or spacer under the carb. In that case yours is the only number mentioned and the date to the left applies to the change and BINGO is the date your car was built

Gary this sheet shows the production figures with Cords listed above Auburns for each month.
The page comes from the August ACD Club Newsletter 1967
This may give you an idea when it came off the line.

These are my original plates and this is the first time they have been published anywhere. BTW does anyone know of this original engine block for my car?

What can you tell in reference to the build date of 10039B? I assume the B stands for Berline.

Cheers,

John Meredith

I have been looking thru the engineering changes in hopes of determining my 37 Beverly built date. Have I found my Cord was built on January 11, 1937? What are your thoughts on these two dates I found. This engineering changes booklet is very old and came from a passed on member that lived in Kalispel Montana.
